EMUNAH is the Hebrew word for faith. True to its name, EMUNAH is faithful to its mission of caring for a nation by providing vital social services and educational programs to thousands of needy Jews in every corner of Israel - every day of the year.

Established in 1935 as a response to the urgent need of Israel’s pioneering citizens to care for and educate their children, EMUNAH has since evolved into a vast social service network. As EMUNAH thrives, Israel thrives.

EMUNAH cares for over 10,000 children from infancy to young adulthood, who come from backgrounds of abuse, neglect and abandonment in their 5 children’s residential homes. Through devotion, love, and education EMUNAH shatters the cycle of abuse. Each child is gently nurtured back to emotional and physical health and given an opportunity for a bright, productive future.

EMUNAH helps give strength to Ethiopian families who suffer the pains of an abrupt uprooting from their primitive origins and helps them integrate into modern Israeli society.

EMUNAH’s 135 day care and after school centers help parents cope with the distinct stresses felt by Israelis. They know their children are receiving the best care. In times of extreme crisis, these centers have expanded to operate as counseling centers for children and their parents. EMUNAH operates crisis centers that specifically deal with child victims of terror and their families.
